Changed Workgroup - Admin Login now fails ??

Lost

Hello,

Changed the workgroup in an attempt to network two
Win2K laptops together.

After reboot my admin login password fails.

Now I can't login at all to reset or change anything back.

What caused this and what is the fix?

Thanks in advance.

What caused this

You did - when you removed it from the domain. Your computer had your domain
credentials cached, but when you removed it, it lost it. You'd need to know
your local admin credentials, but even so, you wouldn't be able to use your
domain profile, etc.
and what is the fix?

Take the laptop back to work and ask your domain admin to rejoin it to the
domain. Don't make changes in your network settings - you didnt need to do
this to access your home workgroup, anyway. This is one of the main reasons
admins generally don't like putting user accounts in the local admin group -
this mistake happens a lot.
