Change Win XP to Win 2000

I am setting up a computer to process digital X-rays. The
manufacture will only support Win 2000. My computers are
HP and Compaq with Win XP Home. HP tech support has toll
me that they place a hidden code in their system that
prevents me from changing operating systems. Is this
true? What can I do to convert these computers to run on
the Win 2000 operating system?

Only thing you can do is to purchase a "full version" of
Windows 2000, reformat your hard drive, and install
W2K "clean".
