Is there file sharing in dual boot instal between Win 2000 and Win

If Win 2000 and Win XP are installed as dual boot in a single computer,
whether the OS files for these 2 Operating systems will be stored and used
seperately or is there any possibility that a single OS file is shared and
used commonly by both the operating systems

Individual operating systems do not use or share each
other's system files.

That appears to happen in the case of a WinXP
OS that has been cloned and then booted up for
the 1st time with the original OS still visible. I've
heard that it happens with other Windows OSes,
probably including Win2K, but I didn't think it
happened between OSes that were not identical.
Do you see a file shared by both your OSes?
