Change User name on Window Login window

Does anyone know how to change the User Name on the
window login window when you first start the computer?
Just got married and would like to correct my last
name.Changeing in the user accounts does not change the
name on the login. Dell support has been no help.

Jeff,

You can do this by setting the Full Account name in the Windows Local Users
and Groups manager. If you:

Start > Run > "lusrmgr.msc" (Enter)

Click on Users on the left hand side, on the right you will see your user
account, if you double click it, there is a field called Full Name, if you
Put your new name in there or change the contents of that and click ok. And
then close down the Window. Next time you come to the Welcome screen you new
name should be there.

Just click on the CONTROL PANEL and then click on USER
ACCOUNTS. Pick the one with your name (there are two ..
one is authorizor and the other is Guest) .... When you
click the one with your name, another dialog box comes up
and you'll see a list and one will say 'change your
name', click on that and type in the new name and be sure
you click OK or SUBMIT. Hope this helps you.
