Change file source for SFC from CD to local hard disk

How do I change the default file source setting (original
install CD) to restore files from a hard drive instead,
when using WFP/SFC? I copy all updated files to a hard
drive folder so the most recent files are used rather than
the original ones. I've searched the my registry and MS KB
and have not found any refernce for this setting.

Also, b4 XP I bought all the latest OEM SR Cds so I had
the most recent versions available for repair or
reinstalls, but I have not been able to locate any for XP
Pro. Is there a SR for XP? If so, what is the version/date
and where can I get one?

Thx

I don't know if it can be changed , but you can wait till
next month when sp2 comes out and slipstream sp1 and Sp2
into a new XP cd.

And why would SP2 be out next month?

According to MS, XP SP2 won't be released till Mid 2004, and unless
there is some kind of "Time Warp," that ain't next month.

Isn't waiting until late 2004 a bit long or have MS reinstated this year
as the release date? IIRC, SFC searches through SP install folders but
am not so sure about more regular updates. Changing the install path
from within TweakUI (My Computer/Special Folders) may help but am not
sure it's necessary.

Oop's sorry, yeah I see that , Hmmmmmm I must have been smoking too much MS
grass, I thought it was supposed to be nov-2003, maybe it changed or I was
mistaken..........lol
