Change Encoding used to view Html messages

B

bruno postiau

Hi,
I would like to change the default encoding to view Html messages in Outlook
XP
By default, when I receive an Html message, the encoding is Western European
(iso)
I'd like to change it to Unicode (UTF-7) which has better readability.
I tried to change the registry settings for Mshtml encoding
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Options\MSHTML\Int
ernational

"Default_CodePageOut"=dword:0000fde8
"Default_CodePageIn"=dword:0000fde8

This changes the code when I send a message to myself for instance. I can
then open it and it is in Unicode. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with
internet received messages that default to Iso.
Does one know if it is possible to change this on the client or if I should
change the settings on the server (Exchange 5.5) ?

Thanks in advance

Bruno
