Certain Files Only Visible in Safe Mode?

I have a number of files that were made hidden and then stored away. Later I
had to back up those files and put them on a new computer. I thought I got
all of them but then I had to boot the old computer in safe mode to fix some
things and I found more of those same files. Is there some reason more
"suddenly" appeared in safe mode and are not available in the regular mode?
Is there something wrong with those files that do not appear?

Did you happen to login with 2 different user-logins? Were the files stored in user-specific folders under \Documents and settings or in common folder ?

I think it all had to do with the fact that files were marked "hidden" !

Bring up Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options/ select VIEW Tab and look at all of settings listed.
Under column, Hidden files and folders----choose ( *select* ) Show hidden files and folders.

I will check on the different accounts. That seems plausable.

But I am no fool. I know how to view hidden files and folders.
