CDR/RW DOES NOT WORK AFTER RESTORE

I had to restore my pc, in Windows XP, and now my cd drive does not work, nor does it enable under devices, I have tried everything! I need to install a digital camera, and Windows has aborted it and will not recognize it anymore!!

Uninstall all malfuntioning hard ware and pull the cables. Reattach one Piece of hardware and reboot. Do this for each one and all should be good again
