Cannot read non-finalized CDR

Is was wondering is there some sort of patch that I need to download in order to read a non-finalized (session open) CDR? My digital camera writes pictures and videos directly to a mini-cdr. (packet writing) As of now, I cannot read this CD until I fill it and then finalize it. I would like the functionality to read this CDR before I finalize it.

I have Windows XP Home (fully updated) and a Phillips CDR/CDRW drive.

You should have a "packet driver".

I believe that packet written CD's are not directly readable unless you have
the driver provided by (in this case) the camera company.

I remember having to do this with Adaptecs DirectCD... Drive worked just
like a floppy, but to use it elsewhere you had to have their packet driver
loaded.

....could be wrong though.
