CD writer drivers needed

Since I installed XP, my HP CD writer has a window that
pops up saying that my drivers have not installed
correctly ... or something like that. Any body have any
ideas how to fix this....or download drivers>>

I'm running Windows xp and I have a dvd burner and a cd burner installed on the system the dvd burner is installed ok but the cd burner shows as a cd rom and does not work. when I install the correct drivers (cd/writer ide5224) into the system the driver is correct but it isn't digially signed, what ever that means. It will work once if I reboot my system but no more after the first time. I think it's because my driver is not digitally signed. How do I get it digially signed so it recognizes my cd burner all the time?????
