Can anybody assist me?

I've just found out how to copy files onto CD. Can anybody tell me however how to make amendments to these files on the CD and save them. I've tried making an amendment but it won't save and says the file is read only even though the attributes to the original file do not say it is read only.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Copy the file from the CD to your hard drive, make the changes, then
copy it back to the CD after renaming it.
