problems Saving word docs to disc

We are having problems copying to the computer from a data disc we
have created and then saving to the disc once the file has bee amended.

It seems that somewhere in the process of saving the file to disc th
file becomes read only and or the disc becomes write protected whih
then fails to allow us to amend the file and re-save. When we try t
re-save after chaging the files properties from read only we get an
error message saying either the dsic is full or write protected and
will not allow us to save more than 1 file to a disc.

We have been using a laptop to try and write these files and the
desktop as a means to print the article once completed.

The laptop is where we find the problem with write protection and
automatic saving as read only.

Any ideas how we stop the automatic saving as read only and the writ
protection issue?

I use Incd on the desktop but it has not yet been put on the laptop
does this make a difference?

Also now with Incd the last disc we loaded onto the desktop has now
had an Incd warning saying that for protection the disc has been mad

Yes. Packet writing is not natively supported in Windows XP.

made write protected, how do i now remove that write protection put on
by INcd?

A cursory Google search shows others (over the years) with this issue -
mostly in late 2004/early 2005.. So I have to ask - how far behind is your
"InCD" version?

Apparently we have the latest version, i just tried to update INcd an
the programme told me that we were running the latest version.

You need to have InCD installed on the Laptop if you wish to continue to
write files to the disk using the Laptop.

You might want to look at the InCD manual to see if you can find an answer
to your format problem
ftp://ftp6.nero.com/user_guides/nero7/incd/InCD_ug_eng.pdf
