Not being allowed to save to CD

XP Home SP2 Word 2000

I can save to hard disc but cannot save to CD/rewriter
when I check Computer it is saying

You do not have permission to save in the directory
See administrator to obtain permission.

I am the only one with an accout on here.
I cannot see how I can give myself permission.

When I checked another disc using "Computer" it shows disc as 540 mg 0 free
space
even with a few items, I had this a little while ago and had to change the
data on disc to another disc.
Any suggestions

If you are trying to save a Word document direct to CD, then you can't
unless the CD is a CDRW and has been formatted for packet writing. The
windows native CD burning function will not do this, you need a third party
app such as Nero or Roxio to be able to format a CDRW in this manner.
