Need Help with Read-only Files

Dear Friends:
We have been burning document files to cd-rw disks. When we want to open
them to edit and/or save we're told that "these are read-only files" that can
not be edited, deleted or saved again after editting under the same name. How
can we open these files on a regular basis and do what we wish with them,
then save them onto the same cd-rw???
Did we make an error in copying them to CD in the first place that caused
this "read-Only" staus to occur?

Copy to hard disk. Right click on file, select Properties and
uncheck the Read only attribute.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

To read/write files on a CDRW requires that they be written using packet
writing software, something not found in WinXP. You would need to use a
third party product like Nero or Roxio.
