CD-RW ROM reads disk as full and won't write

N

Nels Petersen

When I put a blank CD-RW disk into my Creative CD-RW
recorder, Windows XP reads the disk as full, whether there
are any files on the disk or not. When I try to write
files to the disk, the Windows XP cd write wizard says
that there is not disk in the drive, even though I can
read the files on the disk through windows explorer.

Windows XP does not have native cd-rw functionality. It
will only bur cdr's.
If you want to burn cdrw you must install third party
packet writing software such as InCd from Nero or Roxio
Direct Cd.
