CD-RW Problem

Prior to upgrading from Windows Me to Windows XP I could
write files to my CD-RW (LG CD RW CED 8080B). Now, when
I try to backup my files, I either get "cannot write to
drive M," or the "CD is read-only." Any suggestions?
 
Native CD writing support in XP does not allow you to do "packet writing" to
the CDRW. Packet writing treats the CDRW media as if it was a large floppy
diskette. To get this back, you will need to install Roxio EZ CD Creator (5
or greater) so as to be able to have DirectCD (Drag to CD in Version 6).
Nero INCD should be the same.

If other suggestions fail, right-click the CD drive and click
PROPERTIES|RECORDING tab. Verify that recording is enabled for that drive.
 
Hi, you may need to update the packet writing software to a later version
that's compatible with XP....
