Unable to write to my cd-rw drive

Hi

I've recently upgraded to XP from ME. I am now unable to
write to my cd-rw drive....

My drive is a LG CD-RW CED-8080B.

I have also just installed Roxio Easy cd & dvd creator 6,
as my previous version, Easy cd creator 4/Direct CD3
didn't seem to be compatible with XP.

I cannot format my disk.

I cannot drag & drop.

I cannot 'File, Save As' - just get a message "The
selected disk drive is not in use. Check to make sure a
disk is inserted."

I can read audio cd's.

I can read previously written cd-r & cd-rw, even though
my disk now shows zero space left for writing to it, but
there was probably 250mb of space available previously.

P L E A S E H E L P!!!

Tks

I just posted the same issue, my drive is an LG 4320B.
Wonder if common manufactirer is a factor?

I doubt it. I have an LG 4120B, the CD mastering software that I am using is RecordNow from www.stompinc.com. Works just fine for me.
