CD-ROMs not being reconized

Hello experts,

My compaq laptop won't let me use my CD-ROM drives. It reconizes them and installs the drivers, but they don't show up in My Computer and thus doesn't let me use them. Int he hardware profiles, my drives have a yellow exclaimation mark next to them.

I have tried uninstalling them and have windows reinstal them, but the same thing happens. I've also tried restoring my computer to its manufacturers' settings, but after a while, the same thing happens.
