Cd-Rom error.

When I go to the device mangaer, my cd-rom is shown, but with a yellow
exclamation point. I bought a new cd-rom drive, and changed new cables, but
the same problem still happens. I have done almost everything I can think of,
from running the cd-rom on slave, to running the rom and a double ribbon
strip with the mother board. The computer sees the cd-rom software, but not
the hardware.

Perhaps the controller is bad. If you have some diagnostics for the
controller, now is the time to run them.
