CD-ROM

I recently installed a burner on my Dell PC 4600 Dimension. After I
installed Roxio 5, both of the CD-ROMs have disappeared. When I looked in
Device Manager, both CD-ROMs are there, but they now have yellow exclamation
marks on them. I tried uninstalling them and let Windows install them, no
luck. I reinstalled SP4, nothing. When I double-click on each CD-ROM it
says, "Your registry might be corrupt (Code 19)".

Does anything have any suggestions? I don't mind going into the registry.

Cannot Access CD-ROM and "Code 31" Error Message in Device Manager After
You Remove Adaptec Easy CD Creator from Your Computer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/270008/EN-US/

Most likely that will fix the problem, if not see here:

Error Message: Code 19 Your Registry Might Be Corrupted
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;295773

After you fix the problem do yourself a BIG favour... Take that Roxio CD
and wing it as far as possible! It is nothing but trash! Try Nero or
anything else but Roxio.
