Cd-ROM Driver problem

Peter

I am running XP Home edition. I have recently installed
Creative SoundBlaster to my system BY MISTAKE! My sound
Card is Sigmatel C-Major Audio. I am trying to Remove
the Creative SB PCI512 Sound Devices using Device Manager
as I am getting frantic results when I play an Audio CD.
However when I remove them and Restart my Computer they
have not been uninstalled.
Can you help??

Under sounds in device mgr.,delete the icon relating to
sound blaster, also delete in add/remove programs.
Actually if sound blaster 5.1 is the card,or isnt,on
installing,go to windows update and let it install the
drivers for the card.It works better, you need to have
all uninstalled for windows to do it,the hardware catalog
has the same drivers.Usually you dont need to hook-up
the cd-rom connections to a sound card, just plug in and
connect speakers.
