CD-Rom Driver Corrupted or Missing

The QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-241 (the DVD/CD-ROM driver) had a
little yellow exclamation point when i open the device
manager. When i click on properties, it says "Windows
cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The
driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" Then when
I go to the troubleshooter it says "To resolve the
problem that is causing Device Manager to show an error
code for your device, try uninstalling and then
reinstalling the device."

The problems are: 1) Will uninstalling the device delete
the driver i need to run the cdrw/dvd combo?
