My Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-C2302 driver is corrupted or missing. I can uninstall
the driver ok. The Add New Hardware wizard finds the Toshiba DVD and trys
to reinstall the driver, and fails with "Windows cannot load the device
driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing (Code 39).
The Toshiba web site says there is no unique device driver for the C2302,
and that Windows XP supports it natively. I can use Driver Details to see
the driver files in C:\Windows\system32\drivers. The files are AFS2k.sys,
cdrom.sys, imadi.sys, redbook.sys, and storprop.dll. Should I try to copy
the driver files over the network from the Windows XP CD? Is there some
other way to fix this driver? Thanks!

Does this also apply to Vista Home Premium? I'm getting the same error Code
39 message. Model HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA-H60L model. I tried the Doug Knox fix
and it didn't work.
