my cd rom drive has completely disappeared. i looked in my computer and its
gone and whenever i put a cd in, it doesnt read it. Is there anyway i can
restore it?

In My Computer, there is no access to your CD-ROMs.

registry returned some unknown result:
Your registry might be corrupted. (Code 19)
You may also receive the following error message:

thanx for the program but it did not work. i just rebooted my computer after
it was "finished" and it did nothing. the cd rom drive works when i press the
button for it to eject and go back in but whenever i try to run it from the
start menu it displays a message "d:/ refers to an unavailable location"

whenever i type in regedit from run on the start menu it opens up and
automatically closes just like the task manager does every time i hit alt
ctrl delete

got any suggestions for programs that will remove them? norton internet
security has blocked them from internet access but also cannot delete them
because they are running. it says it will reboot and delete them but never
really does.
