Cd recording software..

I just upgraded to XP and now the Cd software doesn't
work. I had Adaptec but I have upgraded to Roxio's 6.0.
I still get and error message saying "Cd recording
drivers can cause system to become unstable. Windows has
prevented these drivers from loading." I have
uninstalled the software, uninstalled hardware,
uninstalled drivers, reinstalled above, and I still get
the error message. Anybody got any ideas what I should
do next. Thanks for your help.

You need to UN-install all Roxio CD software, completely.
This will likely involve some registry editting. Check
the Roxio support site for details, or post a direct
question to Roxio support. After it is all gone, install
only version 6. Then patch to the latest (about
6.0.4.1?). I have Easy CD 6 and it really does work under
XP. However, I had a terrible time with version 5
immediately after I upgraded from 98 to XP.
