CD-R not recognized by windows XP.

When I insert a black CD-r into the machine and try and burn files to it, I
constantly get an error message saying that here is not writeable CD-r or
DVD-r in the dirve...


Anyone?

Check the properties of the CD Burner drive and click on the recording tab.
If the check mark to enable recording is checked, uncheck it and hit apply
and then recheck it and hit apply.
