For some reason, I have begun getting message "Disk is not
formatted, do you want to format it now?" which results in
follow-up "Disk cannot be formatted" whenever I attempt to
open a disk on my CD-R. I did try to install Windows
Service Pack 4 (twice) with resulting crashes, but it has
been removed. I have tried to re-install OE software from
Dell (Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.01 basic) but, alas, CD-R
will not acknowledge disk so I cannot run it. I have
Windows 2000 Pro OS, and the CD-R is an NEC DVD-ROM, CDRW
combo unit NR-7800A. Any guidance would be appreciated.
