CD/DVD Not Working

Over the past few days i have tried to play music and dvd's on my computer. i
just figured it had a glitch so i shut it down down and left it alone for
about a day. after that music and dvd's will still not play. and i have no
idea why. the drives wont even show when i try to access them from my
computer. help plz. thx.
