CD/DVD not reading

My CD/DVD drive does not read and the error message reads as follows:

"Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot
find the hardware device. (Code 41)"

any ideas?

Hi Brian did you get any help with this? I have a similar problem but my
message simply says, "there is no CD in the drive, please insert CD"

it seems like this is a common problem, i keep getting the "please insert
disk into drive F:. the other drive works fine and it says its working fine

Hi Brian,

have the same problem, checked code 41 and it tells you to restore. Have
done that but still not working.

let me know if you managed to find an answer.
