DVD and CD Rom Drives not detected

I've just turned on my computer and I'm checking the device manager because my CDRom is not detecting anything, so I right click on the icon for both of my drives and it is saying "Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)" This is for my DVD and CD Rom drive

Hi

Try this:

Delete the problematic devices via Device Manager and reboot your system for
Windows to re-detect them.

Unfortunately that didn't work, it still installs the drivers but doesn't detect the working device

How does that happen?

Bad or disconnected IDE cables? Defective Drive? Hard to say if the other
suggestion didn't work.

The confusing thing is is that I have two internal drives and it's not working for both of them

I would format my hard drive but if my computer doesn't read my drive then how can I format

Am I basically screwed? Please help!
