cd-dvd drive

My games are not automatically starting and I have no way to open them because I do not have a cd-dvd drive icon in "My computer". How can I get the drive to open so i can play games????

Have you tried using explorer and just typing in d:\ (assuming your drive
would be the d drive)?

I'd check to see if the device is listed in device manager,

right click my computer

-> click properties
--> click the hardware tab
---> click the device manager
----> expand DVD/CD-ROM drives and check if the device is listed.

If it is try uninstalling it and then rebooting, Windows should then
reinstall and fingers crossed it'll work.

If it's not listed, there nor at start up (if your machine lists devices at
startup) then it's possible it may be a hardware issue, have you done any
poking around inside the computer lately?
