cd dvd drive problem

When I copy a data cd with my Pyro2004 program, the windows explorer stops
responding when I put the copied disk in either drive. When I eject the disk,
windows explorer resumes. Audio disks that I burn are just fine. ???

Could the drive being set to 'Auto Play' be the problem? I don't use auto
play because I have had odd lockups that disappeared when I shut it off.

thank you for responding to my post. i tried turning off autoplay, but it did
not help. i think i will try unstalling and then reinstalling the burner
program, although i'm not sure that will help.

It could be that the drive is still open for adding additional files and
windows doesn't know what to do with it. Try looking at the burned CD
with the Pyro program and see if there is an option to "finalize" the
CD.

Silly question. Are you able to go offline and be reasonably sure that the
files you burned are safe? Yes? Okay, try to disable your AV software for a
moment and then insert the disk and see if you still get the freezes?
