CD - DVD burner mixed up

I can't seem to get my CD burner to be the default burner
for blank CD's. WindowsXP wants to use the DVD burner
instead. It (the DVD burner) burns CD's fine but is slow
and I suspect that the CD burner would be much faster as
that is what it is designed to do. How do I change the
default to the CD burner?

How do you have them installed in the computer? Jym

Go to properties of each device and check / uncheck appropriate box under
recording tab. Jym
