CD Compatability from '98' to 'xp'

My Family Resource CDs (Genealogy) I used on Windows '98' will not load onto
XP.
I have received a 'patch' from suppliers of CD's but cannot open attachment
in order to read instructions.
Because I am relatively new to computers or more honestly a 'Noodle head'
would appreciate any help.

Contact the Family Resource tech support and ask them to walk you
through what you have to do.
