CD Burning Problem in WMP 9.0

I have WMP 9.0 and a few months back it stopped
recognizing my CD-Rom device when trying to burn a cd. It
plays cds fine just won't burn them. For some reason it
is unable to detect my burner. I have tried different
brands of cds and still the same problem. I use other
media software to burn like Nero, Roxio and Jet Audio,
and there is no problem. They work great. So I know the
problem is WMP and not my burner. I have been using WMP
for about three years and I really like it the best when
burning cds. I believe the problem may have occurred
during a windows update a few months back at the end of
2003.If anyone has a solution to this problem let me
know. Thanks alot for your time, -Eddie

The problem is caused by the third party burning software.
Burn the music cd using that, not WMP9.0

I have the same problem. I use Roxio and that works perfectly but Windows
Media player will not burn CD's for me. I prefer it over WMP anyway. But I
thought it was something to do with my computer that was wrong. Thanks to
this information I know that it has happened since I downloaded the new
updates for Roxio and for Microsoft.
