Don't know if it happens only on Comcast cable modems with Internet
Explorer, but a web search toolbar add appears to offer a download of
Internet Explorer search toolbar, caution as I downloaded this it messed up
my hyper text addresses in e-mail and news groups where action appears to
execute but nothing appears. the toolbar has some fine features but it did
cripple outlook express. Thank goodness for WINXP restore it corrected this
issue but still don't if it's related but loading threads still is slow from
some news groups.

Was it 'IEPlugin' aka 'Intelligent Explorer' ? - that appears to be
*very* bad news. see
