Catastrophic Failure

I have a Dell Demension 8200 and when I use MS MM I
encounter failure notices often when I try to add
transitions, play the storyboard, split video, etc. I
sent an error report and was told that the problem was

Problems When You Are Using an Out-of-Date Version of the
C-Media Cmaudio.ax Driver File

I downloaded Cmaudio.ax and tried to install it without
much luck. Help???

Try using http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com to update your driver.

BTW, the C-Media chip is a piece of **** in my opinion. It freezes XP with
my app too.
