Capturing Video from camcorder

I have a JVC camcorder. I am able to capture still
photos with their software package, Digital Photo
Navigator. I would like to capture full videos though
and need information on how to do that with Windows
Moviemaker 2. I have tried but it does not
recognize "the device" I am using a serial port
connection that came with my camcorder, no USB connection
is available. Could that be my problem?

The serial port is for transferring still images only. The firewire port is
for capturing video/audio. You'll need a firewire card on your PC and the
appropriate cable from camcorder to PC.
