Capture from Video Device - missing

B

Bernard

Hi,

Running Vista Home Premium.
Today I downloaded and installed Windows Move Maker 2.6
I do not see "Capture from Video Device" under "Capture Video".

I see
1- Capture Video
Import Video
Import Pictures
Import Audio or Music

What happened to the "Capture from Video Device"?

I have a Canopy connected to the PC and it is picked up by Vista and drivers
installed OK.

Appreciate any help.
Regards,
Bernard

I don't remember Movie Maker needing to be a download in Vista. I've got
Ultimate but I had Premium before.

I think the stock version in Windows Vista comes up as 6.0.

With that one I have "Import from Digital Video Camera" which seems to talk
to the Panasonic PV-GS300 I get to use without problem.

Failing that, whatever software comes with the Digitial Camera usually has a
good import feature. You just want to make sure the files are compatable
with Movie Maker. I stick with Avi's myself.... :) Nice and simple.

Hope this helps.
