Capture audio only using Moviemaker?

Is it possible to specify that you only want capture audio from a digital
camcorder using Moviemaker?

I wish to e-mail the audio but not the accompanying video from a short clip.

Is it possible to seperate the video and audio?
If so, how do i do this?

I'm guessing that just a file which is just 30 secs of audio will be much
smaller than 30 secs of video with audio?

As you can probably tell from these questions I am a complete beginner with
a new camcorder which I have not captured from yet, so easy to understand
replies please!

Many, many thanks in advance.

You can capture the 30 seconds as a video file.... then in Movie Maker put
the file on the Audio/Music track instead of the video track. Save the movie
and, if there's nothing on the video track of Movie Maker, it'll make an
audio WMA file, which you can email.

Many thanks PapaJohn :) Sounds easy the way you've described it so I'll
give it a whirl.

be sure you're in timeline view, not storyboard...

when you drag it down to the timeline, if it goes onto the video track....
grab it from there and drag it to the audio/music track... it'll go
