When I attempt to run some of the programs I have run forever, I get
the following message:
C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\. A temporary file needed for
installation could not be created or could not be written to. Make
sure that the directory path exists, and disk space is available.

There's plenty of disk space and if I go to the directory in DOS I can
write to it. This only affects some of my programs and when I try to
reinstall them, I get the same message. I'm lost.... Any ideas?

Hi, Dave.

This newsgroup is dedicated to Microsoft Access databases, so you'd have a
better chance of getting a quick, accurate answer if you post your question
in a newsgroup dedicated to your operating system and tell them which
version and service pack is installed.

That said, if I were you, I'd check your permissions on that directory, your
profile's quota to see if it's full, and where your Temp and Tmp environment
variables are really pointing to and check if you have permissions and disk
space in those directories.

You may want to quit the program before you re-install...
