I have some serious internet issues. I can't browse web
pages, I can't use MSN messenger. I've noticed that with
every internet service provider I try to sign on with I'm
not able to download their updates. I can usually
download my email from say AOL, but that's about it. Any
clues. Also, if the fix involved reinstalling Windows XP,
which is the upgrade I have from windows98, I can't find
my product code. Thanks for any help.

Ck your "Hosts" file. Windows\system32\drivers\etc

click on hosts file, it will open with notepad, delete ant
entries and save back.

I also noticed that XP may not reolve DNS requests correctly. I was able to
solve my problems as follows (Within a DOS Command promp window);

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns

which clears out my PCs DNS cache.

Y.
