Can't view photo attachments

I am unable to view photos sent to my e-mail as attachments. When I click on
the photo, a box comes up asking me to convert the file for Windows, MS-DOS
or other. Nothing works. I only get a bunch of code. I have been using this
computer and this Outlook for years and have never had this problem.

Here's the catch. When I open my e-mail on a Mac computer straight from my
Hotmail account, all photo attachments come through fine. So obviously,
there's something wrong with my PC computer and/or Outlook.

Can anyone help?

What version of Outlook? Is it a paid Hotmail account you're using with
Outlook or a free one?
