Can anyone help please?
I am using Outlook 2003 as mail client and IE6 as browser on Windows XP home
edition. Outlook works fine as a stand-alone mail client. My problem is that
when I click on an e-mail link on a website, instead of opening a new
message pane in Outlook, IE6 opens 60+ blank web pages then crashes.
From reading previous threads about the same problem, I have determined that
in regedit.exe under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, there is no folder named 'mailto'. I
understand that this may be the problem. Can anyone confirm this and if this
is the cause, can some one please give me step by step (literally) guide to
how I can rectify the matter. Is it possible to copy these entries from my
laptop which runs the same software?
Microsoft have refused to help as as my edition of XP is OEM and the
computer manufacturer could not understand or solve the problem
Many thanks
