Can't uninstall SP2 (or KB834707)

I have a damaged SP2 install.
I've tried to uninstall KB834707 and SP2 but won't work.

"Can't find the specified file" (but doesn't tell me what file)

"Can't uninstall SP2"

Help!
 
On my machine running windows XP I can go > Control Panel > Add or Remove
Programs and remove SP2 that way. Does this appear in your Add or Remove
Programs.
