Cant turn off Windows firewall

I need to turn off windows firewall so that I can get remote assistance
with a software problem, but turn it off is greyed out and can't be done!
How do allow remote assistance ie invite a friend with the firewall
turned on?

Or what do I need to allow/open to get remote assistance to connect to
my machine?
