can't start spooler service

hi all

i'm having trouble with my print spooler service.
when trying to start the service i get the message:
"could not start the print spooler service on local computer.
error 3: the system cannot find the path specified."

in this service 'properties -> path to executable' i have a blank line
i can't edit.
i've tried to replace the file but it won't do.

can anyone tell me how to fix this??

Talor,

You can get the spooler service fix from here:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/temp/spooler.reg

The above REG file fixes the spooler service entry in the registry. To apply
the file, right-click and then choose "Merge". To simply view the contents
of the file, open it with Notepad.
