Hi Guys,
I am unable to sign into MSN Messenger, get two error messages, have
searched the groups but could not find an answer. The error messages are
80072745 and 81000314, both come up at different stages of trying to sign
in. have done the tests and my computer passes but will not sign in. Would
appreciate some help please
Thanks and Regards
Bob

Dear all if you have not heard simply add these addresses to the following
file that should be opened with notepad and MSN will work.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts - (When you open the ETC folder open
the HOSTS file using notepad).

insert the following addresses:

65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.skadns.net

(INSERT THEM DIRECTLY UNDER THE OTHER 2 ADDRESSES AND ALIGN THEM WITH TAB.)

Easy done ... good luck.

Thx Raphael! U're GOD!!! :)

Greetings,

Please remember to remove these in the future when things are normal, as the addresses for
Messenger may change and then you won't be able to login.

- check computer clock date and time are correct (won't login otherwise)

- reinstall msn messenger (uninstall and download new)
