Can't shutdown!!! just hangs

Two out of 7 clone dells w/ win2000 sp4 will not shut
down. I'm working on one of the other 5 that works just
fine. In fact I set all of them up. There is nothing
different about them than the others other than the
printer that is installed on one and shared on the other.

Any ideas?

try executing from the CMD prompt

net stop spooler

on each the the problem machines prior to shutdown ...
