Can't Shut Down PC Activity

Hi! After installing .Net Framework 2.0 SP1 (2 months ago), I have nothing
but problems with everything. I can't get my PC Activity to shut down unless
I put my computer in Standby, Hibernate or unplug my Ethernet. It takes over
30 minutes to load before I can even start using my computer & then it
occasionally freezes (alot). I can't use the Repair button for Framework
because it's missing the install file & I can't find it. It won't let me
uninstall it. I've tried everything. System Restore renames ALL of my Norton
Security files & it becomes unusable. I've had to reinstall my printer. It's
still not displaying Printer Preferences window correctly. I don't want to do
another System Recovery if I don't have to.
If anyone can help with this .Net Framework thing, I would really appreciate
it. Thanks!

1- If you have anti-virus and anti-spyware programs already installed on

4- HijackThis is a hijacker detector and remover, but expanded with a
lot of other checks against hijacker tricks. It is continually updated
to detect and remove new hijacks. More information here:

If none of the above remove the malware, you may want to show the
computer to a professional.

There may be nothing you can do to remove an infection, no matter what
you try. That's because some infections compromise your computer to the
point where you can no longer rely on what the operating system is
telling you. Rootkits are an example of this kind of infection. In that
case, your only way out is to erase your hard disk and reinstall
everything from scratch.
